Apart from these features, Huddle01 also provides a set of handy host controls to ensure a smooth and streamlined session without any delays or interruptions.
Here, a host is the person who initiates, facilitates, and controls the event or meeting happening live on Huddle01.

Host Controls on Huddle01 include:

  • Token Gating: This is your first tool. It lets you decide who gets access to your meeting. For instance, you can limit entry to users owning certain NFTs, ERC20 tokens, POAPs, and social graphs like Lens Protocol and Cyberconnect.
  • Live Streaming: Now, if you want to broadcast your event/webinar/panel/workshop to a larger audience, the live streaming option is at your disposal. You can stream your meeting on platforms such as Livepeer, YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter with no 3rd party apps or custom settings needed.

  • Recording: Sometimes, you'll want to capture the most important parts of your meeting or record the whole event you are hosting, that is where this feature comes handy. You can record the session either in spotlight or default view, and save the recording for later either on your device or on IPFS, a decentralised storage system.

  • Participant Video Control: Internet bandwidth can be finicky, especially in larger gatherings. To ensure smooth audio, you can turn off the participants' video. This can be particularly handy if some attendees forget to mute themselves from video control.

  • Microphone Control: In larger meetings, background noise can be distracting. The host can take control by deciding who gets the microphone permissions. This minimises interruptions.

  • Screen Sharing: If you want to keep screen sharing under control, this feature is for you. You can choose who can share their screens during the meeting/event.

  • Chat Control: To keep the discussion on track, you can enable or disable the group chat at any time or restrict private DMs. This way, everyone stays engaged and focused on the agenda of the meeting or event.

  • Lock the Room: Think of this as locking the door to your meeting. When this feature is on, no one can join without your approval, preventing any unauthorised access.

  • Notifications: When there's a new message in the chat or a new participant joins the meeting, this feature sends notifications to all participants.

As the main host, you can also designate co-hosts who share the same level of control. This ensures that even if you're not available, or are busy presenting or talking to the audience - someone else can help you run the session smoothly.

At Huddle01, we're constantly working on improving user experiences. If you have any ideas on how to make these host controls even better, we'd love to hear from you on our Discord or Twitter DMs.
